Amélie Fortin, piano

Born in Lac St-Jean, pianist Amélie Fortin holds a Masters Degree in interpretation from the University of Montreal where she studied with Paul Stewart. After specializing in piano four hands, she founded the Duo Fortin-Poirier in 2005, along with pianist Marie-Christine Poirier. As the laureate of numerous prizes and awards, Amélie distinguishes herself by her versatility and the sensitivity of her play. She is a member of La Pietà since 2012, and can also be heard in other performances such as the youth concert La Récréation de Mozart (Jeunesses Musicales du Canada), in which she plays along clarinetist Jean-François Normand (SAMS) and the vocal ensemble Carpe Diem.
